
Operation Christmas Child
Calvin Church serves as an area collection center for Operation Christmas Child. A team of volunteers prays over every box as we collect them from area churches and individuals.. Collection hours for 2018 are:
Monday, 11/12: 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Tuesday, 11/13: 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Wednesday, 11/14: 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Thursday, 11/15: 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
Friday, 11/16: 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Saturday, 11/17: 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Sunday, 11/18: 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
Monday, 11/19: 9:30 a.m.-noon

MOPS
Mothers of Preschoolers
1st and 3rd Monday, 6PM - 8PM, September- May.
MOPS is a group designed to help moms grow and flourish as they connect with other moms.
We have coffee and brunch, we talk, we make fun crafts, and we learn from inspiring speakers! Childcare is provided on-site.
Who is MOPS for?
MOPS is for mothers of children birth-kindergarten.
Deacons
Our Deacons carry out the ministries of compassion and care to the congregation of Calvin and the community of Ellwood City. Their ministries include delicious funeral dinners, community meals, meal deliveries, cards, devotional material for shut-ins, and distribution of financial aid.
Rise against hunger
Supported by the mission funds of Calvin Church, and with the help of volunteers in the church and the Elwood City community, we have purchased and packed nearly 36,000 meals since 2015. Call the church office to find out how you can participate in our next Rise Against Hunger event.

Missionaries Shelvis & Nancy Smith-Mather
The Smith-Mathers are committed to building peace in the world's youngest nation of South Sudan. Along with their 3 children, they bravely live out the gospel in this war-torn region.
Shelvis is the Principal of the RECONCILE Peace Institute (RPI). The RPI equips leaders to initiate sustainable peace in places of high conflict and trauma. Nancy is the Project Manager for the South Sudan education and peace building project, developing peace and advancing education in collaboration with the Presbyterian Church of South Sudan, Across, Yei Teacher Training College and RECONCILE International.

Holy Redeemer Ministerium Social Services
Together we provide food, utility assistance, and other social services to residents of Ellwood City, PA. Food donations can be placed in the barrel in the back of the sanctuary

Missionaries Rob & Meredith Ward
Rob and Meredith Ward, along with their 4 children, serve\ with SIM in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Rob is an art teacher at an international school called Bingham Academy. They serve 420 students and their families from over 40 countries. God is at work in mighty ways there and they praise him for the opportunity to be involved in such a pivotal time in Ethiopia’s history. Pine Valley Bible camp (nehemiah project)
Located just outside Ellwood City, PA, this ministry provides Christian nurture through summer camp for urban children and youth.


Meals on Wheels- Ellwood City
Ellwood City Meals on Wheels delivers meals at a generous discount to homebound people. This ministry began in Calvin Presbyterian Church many years ago, and is now run out of the Ellwood City Hospital.
