The MomCo by Mops International
Kids Quest is a quality Christian program that offers after-school programming and Bible Classes. Located in Ellwood City, PA. More than daycare, we offer organized recreation, homework help, Good News and snacks. Calvin Church is excited to be a co-founder of this program!
We serve appetizers, desserts and beverages that you don't have to share! We learn from inspiring speakers and small group discussions on a great variety of topics (not just parenting advice either!).
Who is MomCo for?
MomCo is for mothers of children birth-kindergarten. Limited childcare is provided.
Our Deacons carry out the ministries of compassion and care to the congregation of Calvin and the community of Ellwood City. Their ministries include delicious funeral dinners, community meals, meal deliveries, cards, devotional material for shut-ins, and distribution of financial aid.
The Carpenter's Project is a multi-denominational, intergenerational Christian mission program located in Ellwood City, PA. With the purpose of assisting homeowners with minor repairs, The Carpenter's Project volunteers for one week in July. In addition to the uniqueness of many churches working together, there is no charge to the homeowners for the work done.
In it’s 24th year (the 2025 work week), the Carpenter’s Project completed 51 projects on 33 homes. Continuing a tradition of approximately 1,450 completed repairs over the last 24 years. The group usually mobilizes around 160 volunteers per year, representing more than 21 local churches and community groups, roughly divided between work crews and support roles like kitchen service and logistics, with youth participation (ages 13–18) making up a significant piece.

Calvin Church serves as an area collection center for Operation Christmas Child. A team of volunteers prays over every box as we collect them from area churches and individuals. Please drop off boxes in rear of church. Collection hours for 2025 are:

The Calvin Presbyterian Church is proud to partner financially, prayerfully, and as volunteers with the following ministries and organizations.
Together we provide food, utility assistance, and other social services to residents of Ellwood City, PA. Food donations can be placed in the barrel in the back of the sanctuary
Rob and Meredith Ward, along with their 4 children, serve as missionaries in Kandern, Germany. Rob is a teacher with Black Forest Academy, an international Christian school for the children of missionaries around the world. God is at work in mighty ways there and they praise Him for the opportunity to be involved. Located just outside Ellwood City, PA, this ministry provides Christian nurture through summer camp for urban children and youth.
Ellwood City Meals on Wheels delivers meals at a generous discount to homebound people. This ministry began in Calvin Presbyterian Church more than 45 years ago and returned home to Calvin in 2019.
